Concierge practices charge a high yearly retainer fee, but also bill your insurance and charge copays with every visit in addition to the retainer fee, while DPC eliminates insurance billing altogether. You pay a flat affordable monthly rate for unlimited access to your doctor—no surprise bills or hidden costs. This model is especially helpful for those who are between insurance plans, underinsured, have a high deductible plan or looking for a more direct, transparent healthcare experience.
No. At Tamgowy Health Direct Care we do not accept or bill any insurance plans. Our practice is intentionally out of network with all insurance providers so we can focus entirely on delivering high-quality, personalized care—without the restrictions and complexities that often come with insurance. This approach allows us to spend more time with you, offering care that is tailored to your needs, with no co-pays, deductibles, or surprise bills. Instead, you’ll receive transparent, upfront pricing for all of your primary care services.
Medicare Patients:
Dr. Flores is currently not opted out of Medicare so she can not see patients on Medicare yet, but she does plan to officially opt out once we have at least 50 patients aged 65 and older who are interested in joining our practice. In the meantime, you can have your name included in our waiting list and we will call you once Dr. Flores has opted out of Medicare.

Yes. While Tamgowy Health Direct Care is not a form of insurance and does not accept or bill insurance, we still recommend that you maintain some form of insurance coverage for situations outside the scope of primary care—such as hospitalizations, specialist visits, emergency care or surgeries.
Dr. Flores does not serve as attending physician if you are admitted to the hospital. However, once you are discharged, she will carefully review your hospital records and ensure that your care continues seamlessly, helping you manage any ongoing health conditions.
To keep costs down while still being protected, we suggest considering a high-deductible health plan with a lower monthly premium. Pairing this with a Health Savings Account (HSA) can help you prepare for unexpected or major medical expenses. If you are generally healthy and don’t anticipate frequent medical needs, a Health Share plan may be a suitable alternative.

As much as Dr. Flores would love to be available around the clock, she is—like all of us—a human being that needs to rest, sleep and spend time with her family, friends and church. While she is deeply committed to your care, she is not available 24/7.
During the week, Dr. Flores will do her best to respond to urgent needs as promptly as possible, even outside of regular office hours. However, after dinner time, on weekends, or during holidays, there may be a delay in response.
If you have an urgent medical need during those times and do not receive a prompt reply, please seek appropriate care through an urgent care center or emergency room as needed.

In the event of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 (especially if you are concerned about stroke or heart attack) or go directly to the nearest emergency room—especially for serious symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden neurological changes, severe injury, severe pain or bleeding.
For all other urgent or non-urgent matters, members will be provided with multiple ways to contact our team, including phone, text, email, and secure messaging. We’re here to support you and will respond as promptly as possible based on the nature of your concern.

At Tamgowy Health Direct Care, we focus on providing thorough, consistent care with the goal of preventing or reducing the need for hospitalizations and specialist referrals. However, when those services are necessary, we will coordinate closely with your hospitalist and any specialists involved in your care to ensure continuity and support.
In certain situations—depending on the complexity of your condition or the level of expertise required—specialists may take the lead in managing your treatment. Even then, we will request records of your care and follow up with you once your condition has stabilized to make sure you continue to receive the support you need.
Because we are not an insurance provider, we strongly encourage you to maintain health insurance coverage for services outside of what your membership includes. We are also working to establish relationships with local specialists to offer affordable cash pricing for services not covered in your membership, such as colonoscopies, imaging, or fracture treatment.
